Welcome to my website. I am currently Visiting Scholar at the Asian Demographic Research Institute at Shanghai University, China. Until July 2025 I was Senior Lecturer and Director of Research and Innovation (2014-21) at the University of Sheffield's School of East Asian Studies. My research and teaching is in the Social and Cultural Geography of East Asia, focusing on Japan. Please browse this site and use the contact links below.
