Welcome to my website. I am an environmental social scientist focusing on the socio-environmental impacts of population decline in East Asia. Currently I am an independent scholar and Honorary Senior Research Fellow of the University of Sheffield. Until July 2025 I was Senior Lecturer and Director of Research and Innovation (2014-21) at the University of Sheffield's School of East Asian Studies.
